It’s January 2008 and Bruno still ain’t working
The rest of us on the other hand are hard at it, crafting his adventures from granite with only pen knives and steely determination to aid us.
Last week saw the crew take over Oli’s folks house for an intensive day of filming for episode 6. Adding his acting pedigree to the cast was my little brother Dom, who is not only the lead guitarist with Doom band Moss (myspace page), but is the inspiration for and the original Bruno actor. We even shot an entire pilot episode featuring Dom as Bruno with scenes in the Rocky mountains and half way up a glacier. But, his decision to immigrate to Canada meant filming would become extremely problematic.
So, we shelved the pilot and found the fine specimen of human evolution that is Oliver Lavery. He’s doing a fine job as Bruno and even Dom had to admit that he is perfect in the role. Albeit when Oli had him in an arm lock when he said it.

Thursday saw us in Solihull, at 699 hair salon. Where Bruno was forced to cut off his dreadlocks. The man with the shears is Gareth Jones, who popped his acting cherry and gave a damn fine performance whilst littering the floor with matted Bruno hair. The event was marked with write ups and photos in the Solihull Observer and Solihull Times. There were also rumours flying around that Bruno’s dreads were selling on eBay for a small fortune the same day.

Episode 5 is almost ready to go online. When it goes out exactly depends on matters far to complex and boring to go into here. For a little preview of episode 5, click on Timmy Mallett.
It looks like we’ll be off to Norwich to film the concluding scenes of episode 6 and we may well be finding Bruno a new best mate as Ted has found something more fulfilling to do with his life.
Oh, I almost forgot, we were given some figures on how the show’s been doing on joost and it turns out we’re the 2nd most watched show on the Wildlight channel which is great! Anyone not signed up to joost and who wants an invite should leave us a message in the comments section on the website and we’ll sort it out for you.
That’s all for now, I hope you’re all having fun and do send us any suggestions via the comments option on the site.
Cheers,
Alexander
